The Challenge

  • Data was stored in a mix of databases
  • Only ever saw a small percentage of the data they had
  • Struggled to give an accurate and complete picture of performance, network communications and learner feedback
  • Data was not robust enough to make sound decisions

Project Aims

  • Single source of the truth – to bring all data in one place for all teams globally to use (Organisations, Grants and performance)
  • More useful data and analysis, enabling strategic decision making
  • Ability to create simple reports generated as and when required, without reliance on the digital team
  • Improve the experience of our partners and stakeholders when they communicate with Good Things Foundation

The Solution

  • For the Grant Giving solution, the NPSP Outbound Funds Module was installed. Customisations were made to incorporate Targets which must be achieved by Organisations in order to receive their Grant Payments
  • Application Forms for Organisations to apply for funding were created using FormAssembly – which were then integrated onto the website

In Salesforce, several Automations were put in place around incoming Grant/Funding applications and management:

  • A Funding Applications & Contracts area was set up to hold information from the FormAssembly application form
  • Various emails are automatically sent out to the applicants, for instance when the grant is awarded, the contract issued, the disbursement payment is made – all using standard Salesforce Email Alerts
  • Web to Case and Email to Case was set up to handle queries from Organisations (Accounts) and their related contacts, and a Gmail integration was also configured

In the last few weeks before go-live, GTF identified the need for a new application form for Device Distribution which needed to be available to UK applicants within a couple of weeks:

  • With FormAssembly and the Salesforce Outbound Funds module we were able to create the form and send the data into Salesforce in real-time, enabling GTF to award devices and track the number of Devices awarded to Organisations

“We found Giveclarity very easy to work with. We quickly built a good relationship with the main developer and project manager, helped by weekly team meetings and regular communication via Teams. The project team were really responsive to changes and queries, and dealt with testing issues quickly. The project ran to schedule and was completed on budget.”
