News

Giveclarity are delighted to announce that we donated over £40,000 to charity over the past year. As always, we are delighted to be able to extend our social impact by donating some of our profits directly to charities. We carefully chose five fantastic UK registered charities that think and act local, are sustainable, and are small enough projects for our donations to make a difference:
New Ways – Nursery Program in Ethiopia
New Ways is a UK registered charity, established in 1994, supporting development work in Kenya, Ethiopia, South Sudan and Malawi. It’s main focus is in education, small scale agriculture, healthcare and nutrition as well as water infrastructure projects.
This year, Giveclarity have donated £20,000 to the nursery programme New Ways are running in Ethiopia. Angela Docherty, Chief Executive of New Ways, told us:
“Our nursery projects aim to provide a basic level of education to children between the ages of 2-6, with a focus on ensuring the participation of the local community which is important for their ongoing success. We hope that by doing this, as well as providing meals to the children attending the nursery, we will ensure that more parents go on to send their child to receive a primary education in future. We also provide regular medical check-ups for the children attending the nursery to monitor their health.”
Air Ambulance Northern Ireland & Pure Mental NI
Giveclarity now have an office in Belfast, Northern Ireland, which is where our annual graduate scheme (‘Clarity Campus’) takes place. As such, we are happy we can give back to the local community in Northern Ireland.
Queen’s Computing Society, at Queen’s University in Belfast, raised £3,607 through selling charity raffle tickets and Giveclarity offered to match the amount raised, making a final total of £7,215 in aid of Air Ambulance Northern Ireland – a helicopter emergency medical service dedicated to responding to serious trauma and medical emergencies.
Queen’s Computing Society also previously raised £2,700 at another charity raffle event, which Giveclarity matched, making the amount raised a grand total of £5,400 for Pure Mental NI – an entirely youth-led charity campaigning for mental health education and early intervention in Northern Ireland’s primary and secondary schools.
SanKTus
Giveclarity also provided £5,000 to SanKTus – who offer homeless support in Kentish Town, London – to support their running costs in 2022. SanKTus have over 60 volunteers who give nutritious food and refreshments, whilst offering help in terms of access to housing, health and social care services.

Giveclarity are open to receiving recommendations from employees as to where our yearly donations should go. This year, via such a route, we have donated £1,000 to The 1st Overslade Rangers and Guides of Girlguiding.
Girlguiding is the national guiding organisation of the United Kingdom and the UK’s largest girl only youth organisation. The 1st Overslade Rangers and Guides which are local units in the Rugby, Warwickshire area of the UK:
“The catchment area for the unit covers an area of Rugby which has been highlighted by the Borough Council as an area that needs regeneration and according to government data is one of the boroughs most deprived areas. Girlguiding gives all girls regardless of socio-economic factors the same opportunities and we as a unit team never allow financial constraints to prevent any of the girls attending the events we arrange.”
They will be heading to Washington DC in August 2023 to carry out a service project, work alongside girls from the Girl Scouts of America and have the honour of being part of the Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns in Arlington Military Cemetery. International trips provide the girls with life-long memories and lasting friendships, it develops the girls’ confidence and self-belief that they can achieve. Our donation will support the effort to send the unit to Washington. The unit is also doing a lot of fundraising activities throughout the year to raise funds.
